Self-Directed IRA

Self-Directed IRA

The IRS requires a qualified custodian to hold IRA assets on behalf of the IRA owner. As a self-directed IRA custodian, Peak Trust Company (PTC) is equipped to handle the complexities of the documentation and requirements needed for alternative investments as well as all marketable securities.

What is a self-directed IRA?

An IRA is an Individual Retirement Account, allowing individuals to put aside money for retirement and offering alternative investments for retirement savings. “Self-directed” IRAs allow you as the individual account owner, to have control over choosing and directing your investments. Self-Directed IRA accounts provide you alternative assets, including real estate, private company stock, limited partnerships, limited liability companies, notes, and many others.

As an owner of a self-directed IRA it is your responsibility to investigate each and every investment you select and/or hold within your IRA. Consult adequate tax, legal, or investment professionals for assistance and make sure you understand what you are investing in.

PTC does not provide tax, legal, or investment advice. PTC does not offer, sponsor or endorse any investment products and is not affiliated with any investment sponsor, issuer, or financial representative.
